Hi, Attached is a model in abaqus where the center mass (middle cylinder) is being moved by four pressures sufaces to generate percession of the middle mass. For some reason it doesnt work well as it is defined. you need to: 1. fix the model. so the percession is done. 2. write a step by step documentation file of what you did.(with snapshots of the screen)

I did look at your model and these are my preliminary comments after first quick look: 1- The mesh is so bad and is the main reason why run takes too long (around 9 hours according to your log file) 2- Rigid body definition looks wiered and needs to be modified 3- It seems these are to parts and are modeled as one single part, is that right? About me: I have written an Abaqus tutorial book and taught it for hundreds of hours in academic and industrial context. I have been working as CAE expert in car manufacturing company and doing FEM projects was my daily task. Now I am a freelancer. I have done over 100 various simulations in various fields which you can see some samples in my portfolio.
