ActiveX Text Box Control OLEDragDrop implementation C++

We have an activeX textbox control written in C++. It does not have any OLE drag drop event support. For this project we would like to add OLEDragDrop features. Specifically we need the events: OLEDragDrop OLECompleteDrag OLEDragOver OLEGiveFeedback OLESetData OLEStartDrag Also, .OLEDrag method .OLEDragMode property. .OLEDropMode property. Once the standard events, methods, and properties are in place, we want to add some specialized ones: We want to add support for the textbox to natively support the dragging of text into it. After all, if you can type and paste text into it, then why not drag. We are thinking about adding a .OLETextDragging property that when set enables the text box to automatically accept text that is being dragged to it. Drilling down on it further, the .OLETextDragging property could be an integer like: = (0=none, 1=replaceAll, 2=InsertAtcursorPosition, 3=AppendToEnd) to handle replacing the entire contents of the text box vs just appending to the end or replacing a current selection, or inserting at the current cursor position. This would natively only accept the dragging data type of text and rtf text. If the data format is rtf text, then the rtf codes need to be stripped out of it, to only paste in plain text into the text box (since the text box only supports plain text). This specialized textobx control already has some existing features that will need to be accomdated when dragging the text into it. Specifically it has a .maxlength property, so anything pasted that is longer is stripped off. It has also an .EditMode property. During certain modes it will not accept text by typing or pasting and therefore should not accept it when dragging into it either.
