Commercial Website needed

This project is the first step in the development of a website for a store. Currently we only need relatively static web pages that create an online presence for the store. However, the framework should be such that a future online shop with shopping cart system can be integrated. It also needs very limited content management, though the CMS needs are so basic that it's probably best if we write it ourselves rather than using an existing CMS. The language of choice for this project is ASP.NET, the database (if needed) will initially be Access, though the online store will be a SQL Server or MySQL database running on a Windows platform. We are open to suggestions and recommendations of the freelancer in terms of site structure and tools. We are open to using existing open-source tools as long as we have access to all the code and no special installation is needed (most ISP's won't allow it). We don't support the use of design tools such as DreamWeaver, but rather look for very clean, hand-written code, whenever possible. We have limited ability to create graphics in-house and therefore the freelancer will also be involved in the creation or modification of graphics to suit the needs (Photoshop format required). This project is supposed to be a joint development effort between our inhouse developer and the freelancer, hence the need for a compatible environment between the freelancer and our inhouse developer. A few important design requirement for the site may affect the project slightly: - always use full browser window width and height (fixed minimum width, no maximum width) - compatible with IE, Netscape and FireFox - text and graphics should behave properly when user chooses to change font size or zoom
