I need a solution for updating an AWS EC2 Instance. Web software is stored a S3 bucket. The EC2 instance is Windows based. As soon as a new EC2 instance is up and running, it is downloading the content within the S3 bucket into the wwwroot directory and is restarting the IIS. I have written a few .bat files to copy data from computers and servers to a specific location using robocopy. The batch files / scripts work fine, but we are not using any variables so machine names and paths must be entered in severl times throughout the scripts. This takes time and leaves plenty of room for error. I would like to convert the simple .bat files to either power shell scripts or VB scripts so that we can enter the variables once instead of several times. Write a service application that will run on Windows Server 2012 and watch a directory for new files that appear. When a file appears and it is no longer in use, call an existing command line utility (already written) to convert it from a vector PDF to a raster PDF. Then call a PowerShell script (already written) to copy it to SharePoint and finally delete the file. This service application must start automatically whenever the server is rebooted. It is critically important that your program does not try to process the file through the pdf conversion program until it has completed being written by the process that is creating it.

I’m looking for someone that can build a web front end for PowerShell. The idea is that the user logon and gets presented with some functions or tasks that are in turn run in PowerShell against some servers. The scripts and functions are provided by us so we only need the front end coded. It would be good if you have previously worked with Windows Servers, PowerShell, Windows Azure we only need five functions to be run first but the freelancer that we accept for this might be asked to add up to a hundred more functions later on during the project.
