Resumen del concurso
I need a simple solution for synchronizing a Wordpress blog contents FROM a database: Create/update/delete a post on the blog for each item created/updated/deleted in the database. The point is to keep the blog in sync with the database, on an ongoing basis. Individual blog posts must be created for each row in the database table.
MORE DETAILS:
I need someone to write for me a WP plug-in which executes automatically every 5 minutes and performs {SELECT * FROM TABLE} on a database to retrieve 3 columns: ID (int), TITLE (varchar), CONTENT(text), PHOTO_URL(varchar). Each row of data is used for creating a new Post inside of WP, if the ID does not already exist. If it exists, the Post is updated instead. If an ID is removed from the database, the Post is updated with the status {This post has been removed from the database}. The work must be done 100% inside of Wordpress and packaged for delivery as a zipfile plug-in (no root access to machine).
HOW TO TEST YOUR SOLUTION:
Please make your own database table (with just 4 columns: ID, TITLE, CONTENT,PHOTO_URL) with some sample data and install your own Wordpress on localhost. I will not supply any servers or testdata or any other resources.
HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR ENTRY:
This is an open-source competition. You must upload your solution to github.com using a GPL v3 license and submit the URL here. We will check timestamps to ensure late submissions are not copying code from early submissions. Only the FIRST working solution will be awarded.
