Hello -

I would be very happy to see your logo designs for a new housewares store. The name of the store is Albert and Maud. The items sold in the store will be primarily hand made textiles, ceramics, and other hand made housewares.

Albert is a pug and Maud is his young human companion.

I would love to see a logo that has a vintage feel with a modern edge. I do not want anything rustic; more Victorian modern rather than early American.

I will only consider original artwork.

  Albert and Maud. Albert is the pug. And Maud is the human (girl). Number 1 submission? What is cute about that? What is special in any way. Is that art? It would be hard to imagine a less original design. Do you honestly tell me that you are surprised that #1 was rejected? As for #19. It isn't cute. Where is the Victorian? Where is the elegance or flare? Does it feel like a store that sells homemade housewares? And, if it does to you, then, really, you aren't the designer for me and my store.

  No, no, no. I didn't mean it like that. I apologize if I came out wrong. I got the things mixed up. I am not surprised at all that it was rejected, because that was before the description about the name, and I honestly thought that that entry was a cross-breed of victorian and modern and the pug and child design was a mediocre design, which I thought was pretty cute at the time, but as all of people, we make mistakes, and we don't share the same eye for what we create. I'll try in my next entry to fulfill all the things you have mentioned in your description. Again, I apologize if I came out wrong or did anything to upset you. :)
